ACADC & CADC Renewal
40 Hours in the 5 performance domains.
4 of the 40 hours must be in Professional and Ethical Responsiblities. Hours must be Face-to-Face and cannot be in house in-service training.
No more than 10 hours in-service (5 hours for the first renewal) training is acceptable. In-service training is the education and training which occurs within the counselor’s agency, only for agency staff and conducted only by agency staff.

Initial - Minimum of 120 hours of education specific to the Performance Domains- (must include the following):
· Documentation of 50 hours specific to tobacco and/or other drugs training.
· Documentation of education in each of the six domains to include a minimum of ten hours in each of the six Performance Domains. The domains include: Planning and Evaluation, Prevention Education and Service Delivery, Communication, Community Organization, Public Policy and Environmental Change, and Professional Growth and Responsibility. Renewal 40 hours of continuing education hours with the following requirements:
· Four of the 40 hours being in the domain of professional growth and responsibility or ethics training. These four hours must be face-to-face, defined as in person with instructor or through an electronic medium that allows for real-time interactivity with the instructor(s) as the educational content is presented. All education must be approved by the IBADCC or an accredited college/university at the time the education is conducted.

Initial - 46 hours of specific education/training related to the PRC domains of Advocacy, Mentoring/Education, Ethical Responsibility and Recovery Wellness/Support.
