All continuing education must be relevant to occupational therapy. Coursework approved by another health profession board or organization is acceptable.
An Occupational Therapist must obtain 15 CE hours annually or 30 hours biennially. An Occupational Therapist Assistant must obtain 10 CE hours annually or 20 hours biennially.
- There is no limit to the amount of hours you may obtain with self-study (home study, online or webinars). CE-Credit courses are considered self-study.
- No more than a 1/3 of your total required hours may be academic, administrative, management, supervision of level II student fieldwork or presentation hours, with the remainder being direct patient care objectives.
- One CPR course is acceptable each renewal period. A copy of your card is proof for one contact hour.
