CE-Credit.com’s distant learning courses seem to meet qualifications for continuing education credit for MFTs as required by the Alaska Board of Examiners in Marriage & Family Therapists, as listed in 12 AAC 19.320.b.10(A).
The continuing education requirement depends on length of licensure.
- AK MFTs who have been licensed for 18 months or more of the concluding license period have a requirement of 45 contact hours. A maximum of 22 credit hours may be earned via online/distance learning.
- Those who have been licensed for at least 12 months but less than 18 months have a requirement of 30 contact hours. A maximum of 15 credit hours may be earned via online/distance learning.
- Those have have been licensed less than 12 months have a requirement of 23 contact hours. A maximum of 11 credit hours may be earned via online/distance learning.
For all licensees, at least 2 credit hours must be in professional ethics, addiction, domestic violence and cross cultural competence.
For all licensees, no more than half of the total credit hours may be earned via distance learning.
CE Learning Systems has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 5951. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. CE Learning Systems is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.
