The Board of Physical Therapy does not pre-approve Continuing Education or Continuing Education Providers.
In order for a continuing education activity or program to be accepted for renewal or reinstatement of a license, the activity or program must relate to physical therapy and may focus on research, treatment, documentation, management, or education.
Licenses expire November 1 of each odd-numbered year. Physical Therapists are required to complete 20 hours of continuing education for each renewal period. Physical Therapist Assistants are required to complete 10 hours of continuing education for each renewal period.
- Licensees may complete a maximum of 10 CE hours by home study per each 24-month renewal period.
- Licensees may complete a maximum of 10 CE hours utilizing synchronous/live webinars during each 24-month renewal period, provided that there is a sponsoring group or agency for the webinar.
