The Physical Therapy Board is charged with administering and regulating the licensing process for the practice of Physical Therapy under the provisions of the laws and rules of the Allied Health Professionals Governing Board. The Board is responsible for protecting the health, safety and welfare of individuals who receive physical therapy services in New Hampshire.

Physical Therapists and Physical Therapist Assistants are required to complete a minimum of 24 hours of continuing education for every 2 year renewal period.

  • At least 12 hours shall relate directly and primarily to the clinical application of physical therapy
  • The remaining hours shall relate to general physical therapy practice
  • If a licensee earns CEs in excess of what is required, the CEs may roll over for one cycle only.

Jurisprudence Examination. Each individual licensed as a physical therapist or physical therapist assistant shall take and pass a jurisprudence examination each April, May, or June of years ending in “0” and “5”. https://www.fsbpt.org/Our-Services/Jurisprudence-Assessment-Module-JAM-Services/New-Hampshire
