About the Course

This report provides a retrospective review of the mental health consumer/survivor movement and 13 Federally Funded Service Programs in that area of study. Includes a review of the self-help movement, descriptions and recommendations of the grant projects funded, and overall recommendations for future programs and projects.

  1. to become more aware of the literature on the consumer/survivor self-help movement
  2. to become familiar with 13 Demonstration Grant Projects funded by the federal government
  3. to analyze cross-site findings and recommendations, as well as overall recommendations for such programs
