About the Course

In a mental health dialogue, consumers should take the leading role in creating a forum for the equal exchange of ideas. This manual shows how to define and differentiate types of dialogues, and also gives specific information on how to develop and facilitate effective dialogues between mental health consumers, family members, and professionals.

This course is based on the reading-based online article, Participatory Dialogues: A Guide to Organizing Interactive Discussions on Mental Health Issues Among Consumers Providers and Family Members created by Gayle Bluebird, for Mental Health Services, SAMHSA, publication
