This course presents information on creating and maintaining safe school environments. The material presented sets forth a process for identifying, assessing, and managing students who may pose a threat of targeted violence in schools. Specific recommendations on implementing and conducting a school threat assessment are offered. Other areas discussed include how to manage a threatening situation and how to create a climate of connectedness in schools.
