About the Course:

Recent research points to public schools as the major providers of mental health services for school-aged children. This course provides information on school mental health services derived from a 2002-2003 comprehensive government survey of approximately 83,000 schools and their associated districts. The findings of the study provide information about the role of schools in providing mental health services, as well as how services are organized, staffed, funded, and coordinated.
