This course provides comprehensive coverage of strategic interventions in many different kinds of crisis and trauma situations. Course Objectives:
After taking this course, you should be able to:
Articulate the definitions of crisis and trauma and explain how the two are differentiated.
Identify and understand specific intervention strategies for several types of crises such as those involved in hospitalizing individuals, assessing risk of dangerousness, and intervening in domestic violence and/or abuse and neglect of children.
Learn the basic principles of assessing and treating trauma in various kinds of situations, including sexual assault, disaster, and trauma in the workplace.
