Course Objectives:
After taking this course, you should be able to:
Identify generic and brand names of antipsychotics/neuroleptics, antiparkinsonian, antimanic, antidepressant, antianxiety, stimulant, narcotic/opiod analegesics, and sedative hypnotics medications.
Describe the purpose of substance use disorders treatment medications, and discuss tips for communicating with physicians about clients and medication.
Acknowledge strategies for tobacco users and those who are unwilling to quit.
