This course covers a guide for implementing the ’2007 Patient Safety Goals on Suicide’ by The Joint Commission. Present the SAFE-T Model for application to working with suicidal patients.
Develop knowledge regarding suicidal risk factors and related implications.
Understand the process for suicide risk assessments.
Learn documentation requirements for cases involving suicidal patients.
Develop knowledge competency of intervening with suicidal patients in hospital settings and inpatient psychiatric settings.
