Dr. William J. Fremouw
William J. Fremouw, Ph.D., earned his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Massachusetts in 1974. He completed an internship at University of Rochester Medical School and joined the faculty of West Virginia University in 1975. Dr. Fremouw has been Chairman of the Department of Psychology, Director of Clinical Training, and is now the Director of the Quin Curtis Psychological Services Center. As a Full Professor, Dr. Fremouw teaches courses in Abnormal Psychology, Psychopathology, Legal Issues, Forensic Psychology and Ethical Issues. He has published over 80 research articles, chapters in books and professional periodicals on suicide, PTSD, and malingering.
Dr. Fremouw is a Diplomate from American Board of Professional Psychology in Forensic Psychology. He is only one of 300 Diplomates in Forensic Psychology in the United States and only one of two in West Virginia. He has been qualified to testify in Federal, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Ohio courts. He conducts forensic evaluations in the following areas:

Upon completion of this course participants will be able to differentiate low, medium, high, and extreme risk for suicide via the SAAP.
Upon completion of this course participants will understand the rationale for using the SAAP and demonstrate competence of its use.
