He draws upon his years of expertise as a practicing psychologist, administrator, researcher and technologist to help universities evaluate their programs to implement, meet, and maintain CACREP standards.

After taking this course, you should be able to:
Identify and describe HIPAA privacy rules and the sharing of information related to mental health.
Recognize and describe HIPAA Privacy Rules as they apply to public health authorities' access to protected health information.
Apply HIPAA Privacy Rules establishing the conditions under which protected health information may be used or disclosed by covered entities for research purpose.
Apply HIPAA Privacy Rules as they apply to emergancy situations, health information technology, health coverage discrimination based on genetic information, and HIPAA privacy rules regarding same-sex marriage.
