About the Course

As discussed in the article, wellbeing is a broad concept encompassing positive functioning and mental health, and has been associated with a variety of positive outcomes. The present study examines an intervention designed to improve adolescent wellbeing and explore potential moderators of wellbeing.

Her research explores the causal effects of simple, intentional actions--such as being kind or expressing gratitude--on personal well-being and has been published in multiple peer reviewed journals.

Dr. Henderson completed her PhD in clinical psychology at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences in Bethesda MD, and my internship at Wilford Hall Ambulatory Medical Center in San Antonio TX. She is am an integrative therapist who focuses on brief, positive, solutions-focused therapy and is experienced in treating a variety of mental health concerns-- depression, anxiety, stress, grief, trauma, parenting concerns, and more. She is currently practicing in Alaska.

Recommended For

Counselors, marriage and family therapists, psychologists and social workers. It is appropriate for all levels of participants’ knowledge.

After taking this course, you should be able to:

  2. Discuss demographic variables as potential moderators of wellbeing.
  3. Discuss personality and activity-based factors as potential moderators of wellbeing.
  4. Describe the salient results of the present study.
