About the Course

The objective of the study discussed in this article is to assess the prevalence and secular trends of long-term use of stimulants and opioids among adults with ADHD by assessing Medicaid Analytics eXtract data from 29 states between 1999 and 2010. This study provides insight and knowledge to the field given that there is little data currently available about long-term use of stimulants and opioids among adults with ADHD.

Yu-Jung “Jenny” Wei, Ph.D

Assistant Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy, College of Pharmacy, University of Florida, Gainesville. She trained as a pharmacoepidemiologist with expertise in large-scale data analysis on medication-related issues in geriatric populations. Her research interests include medication-taking behaviors, medication prescribing quality, and the subsequent influence on patient and healthcare utilization outcomes.

Yanmin Zhu

Dr. Zhu is an instructor at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women's Hospital. She has published more than 20 articles in peer reviewed journals.

David Lutkemeier holds a BA degree in psychology, a master’s degree in developmental psychology, and a doctorate degree from the University of Cincinnati in Special Education and Psychology. He is certified as a psychologist by the Arizona Board of Psychologist Examiners, as well as holding public school superintendent certification in Arizona and California. Dr. Lutkemeier has worked as an assistant professor at Arizona State University, a school psychologist, special education director, assistant superintendent, and superintendent in both Arizona and California. David, working as a consultant with a national curriculum management group (CMSi) has completed over two dozen comprehensive district-wide curriculum audits in 15 states over the past 20 years and has worked as a test developer for CE Learning Systems for the past ten years.
