The purpose of this article is to evaluate the comparative effectiveness and safety of treatment for a wide variety of childhood anxiety disorder. This was done by reviewing multiple studies that compared psychotherapy, pharmacotherapy and a combination of the two in children from 3 to 18. Drugs that were covered include SSRI’s, SNRI’s, Tricyclic antidepressants and Benzodiazepines. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) was the therapy modality studied.
