Since 2005, he has run over 600 workshops and has provided ACT training to over 30,000 health professionals. He has authored several additional texts and self-help books, and practices as a therapist and coach in Australia.

Elizabeth Mosco, Ph.D. is a licensed psychologist in Reno, NV. She opened a private practice
after 10 years of conducting home-based assessment and therapy with the VA Sierra Nevada
Health Care System. Dr. Mosco’s clinical interests include maternal mental health, older adults,
and third wave cognitive behavioral therapies.

Identify the six core pathological processes of psychological rigidity.

Summarize several exercises to use in the early sessions of ACT, including the choice point.
Recognize several ACT techniques that may be beneficial for a variety of different client presentations.
Discuss several barriers to implementing ACT techniques.
Discuss several ways to create optimal therapeutic relationships when implementing ACT.
