About the Course

This course examines the best practice for providing domestic violence services through evaluation and empowerment to address intimate partner violence. The authors discuss The Empowerment Model they created, and its components. They also created a measurement tool called MOVERS to measure not only their model, but empowerment itself. This article offers a significant contribution to not only Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) theory, but also practice.

This course is based on the reading-based online article, What Is Empowerment Anyway A Model for Domestic Violence Practice Research and Evaluation created by Lauren Bennett Cattaneo, PhD et al in 2014.
