Friendship Quality and Gender Differences in Association With Cyberbullying Involvement and Psychological Well-Being

About the Course

This course is research oriented and some of the material is dense.
Effects of cyberbullying include a range of internalizing and externalizing problems for those involved. Research sometimes ignores social-ecological aspects of a child’s life that can potentially ‘buffer’ the negative psychological effects of such involvement. The study involving 12–16 year olds in Ireland focused on the role of friendship quality and gender in association with cyberbullying involvement and psychological well-being.

This course is based on the article, Friendship Quality and Gender Differences in Association With Cyberbullying Involvement and Psychological Well-Being created by Mairéad Foody, PhD, et al in July of 2019.
