It includes: key issues in selecting screening and assessment instruments, screening instruments for substance abuse disorder, screening instruments for mental health disorders, screen instruments for co-occurring mental and substance use disorders, screening and assessment instruments for suicide risk, and screening and diagnostic instruments for trauma and PTSD.

She also has 11 years of experience as a child protective social worker, where she earned certificates in domestic abuse/family violence and substance abuse.

Identify three specific screening tools for mental disorders and co-occurring disorders for a criminal justice population.
Identify two specific screening tools for substance use disorders in a criminal justice population.
Identify four assessment instruments for trauma and PTSD in the justice system.
Identify four assessment instruments for suicide in the justice system.
Summarize the appropriate instruments, given the variable of diagnosis, severity of symptoms, drug of choice, history and onset of use, trauma, and suicide risk.
