This course is based on two articles that looked at how Covid 19 impacted transitions to telehealth services for adolescents and children in the New York/New Jersey area. The articles discuss the process for implementing this change as well as the challenges faced by both clients and clinicians when using telehealth services. A discussion of how different populations responded to telehealth and some of the advantages of telehealth services are included in this course.

Dr. Hoffnung is a licensed Psychologist and the Assistant Director at the Center for Behavioral Health Informatics. He has published two articles on telehealth and children.
Leslie K. Moorman, LCSW
Leslie Moorman is an adjunct professor at Montclair State University. She has held positions as the Director of a Full and Half Day Child and Adolescent Partial Hospital Program and Director of the Union County Children's Mobile Response and Stabilization System. She is a certified Nurtured Heart Approach (NHA) trainer.
Crystal J. Lockett-Thomas is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Board Certified-TeleMental Health Provider and Nationally Certified Counselor. She has have training and certification in Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma Focused therapies and Moral Reconation Therapy. In addition to her private practice, Crystal also serves as an Adjunct Faculty member for the Collin College educational system and has presented multiple continuing education programs.
