About the Course

The 21st Century has brought innovations that require therapists to consider confidentiality, record keeping, and boundary controversies especially in this time of online therapy during the covid epidemic. In this recorded workshop Dr. Harmell addresses teletherapy and working across state lines in a pandemic, cybertherapy, and the “Third Party rule”. Literature updates, expert opinions, and relevant ethics codes are discussed.

This course is based on the 90 minute webinar recording and the Texas LPC Laws material. Both materials will need to be reviewed before taking the exam.

This course is based on the recorded webinar, Reach Out and Shrink Someone: Legal and Ethical Considerations in the Age of Technology Part 1 created by Pamela Harmell, PhD in 2021.
