This article reviews the meta-analysis of studies on EMDR for depression. The articles looks at outcome measurements as well as quality of the studies included in the analysis. Suggestions are made for future areas of research.

Sara Carletto, PhD
Dr. Carletto is a Research fellow at the Department of Neuroscience of University of Turin. Beginning in 2012 she has conducted research on EMDR and Mindfulness-based interventions in PTSD, mood disorders and somatic diseases. She has published more than 80 works in peer reviewed journals.
Francesca Maldrone, PhD Fellow
Dr. Maldrone is a psychologist, cognitive psychotherapist, and a PhD Fellow in Experimental Medicine and Therapy in the Department of Clinical and Biological Sciences, University of Turin. Her research focuses on investigating psychotherapeutic and mindfulness-based interventions from a neurobiological point-of-view. She has published multiple works in peer reviewed journals.
Dr. Rubinstein received her Bachelors degree in psychology from the University of Florida and her Doctorate degrees in clinical psychology from Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Rubinstein’s professional interests include recovery from trauma, chronic illness/chronic pain, anxiety, stress management and eating disorders. In addition to her experience as a clinician, Dr. Rubinstein has been published in areas addressing post-traumatic stress and chronic illness.
