This quasi-experimental study assessed the feasibility and acceptability of a renewed feedback-informed group treatment (FIGT) for patients with anxiety and depressive disorders. The study found that patients and therapists generally recommended using the new feedback method, which involved personalized goals, therapist training, and active use of feedback during therapy sessions. However, while the method increased feedback discussions and group cohesion, no significant clinical improvements in symptoms were observed.

Dr. Bea Tiemens is affiliated with Pro Persona Research and the Institute of Psychology at Leiden University. She is a clinical psychologist with extensive experience in outcome monitoring and feedback methods in mental health settings. She has multiple publications in peer-reviewed journals related to mental health services research.
Barbara McMillan, BA, MS, EdD, LPC has 35 years of experience as a therapist, clinical director, and administrator in mental health and substance abuse programs. She holds degrees in psychology and education, and has been a licensed professional counselor and supervising counselor for many years. After 18 years in various roles in private and public mental health settings, she became a full-time college psychology and sociology instructor.
