Systematic Review

This course was updated today. If you're about to take the exam, you may benefit from reviewing the exam questions listed below before starting on the actual exam.

About the Course

This course is based on a systematic review of research literature concerning evidence-based brief interventions for acute mental health crises in children and adolescents. These brief interventions provide targeted, rapid, flexible, and mobile services for individuals presenting with acute mental health conditions. The article discusses common acute mental health presentations in children and adolescents and evaluates the effectiveness of brief interventions across various settings for this population. Additionally, it offers recommendations for clinical practice and identifies areas for future research.

This course is based on the reading-based online article, Evidence-based Brief Interventions Targeting Acute Mental Health Presentations for Children and Adolescents: Systematic Review created by Valsamma Eapen, DPM (India), DFT (UK), PhD (UK), FRCPsych (UK), FRANZCP (Aust) et al in 2024.
