About the Course

This book provides specific, realistic ways to keep people and events from pushing your buttons. It does so without resorting to theoretical jargon, “new age” psychology, or positive thinking quick fixes. Instead, this book provides the reader with a set of specific skills that can be used to help them react more effectively in the face of potential button-pushers. The skills defined here can be used in work, home, or social situations. The chapters are filled with work sheets to help readers define the onset of inappropriate responses and practice alternative, healthier behaviors or responses.

This course is based on the book, How to Keep People from Pushing Your Buttons created by Ellis, Albert, Ph.D, & Lange, Arthur, Ed.D.
